Integration: exactly what "LTI 1.3" means here
EdTok is built LMS-first on the 1EdTech LTI 1.3 specification. In the current beta build, that is:
- Single sign-on — OIDC third-party-initiated login. Students and instructors launch from your LMS; EdTok issues no separate passwords.
- Deep Linking 2.0 — instructors place a specific lesson or quiz into a course as an assignment.
- Assignment & Grade Services 2.0 — quiz scores post to your gradebook when a learner submits. No CSV exports.
- Names & Roles Provisioning 2.0 — roster context comes from the LMS. EdTok doesn't maintain a shadow roster.
Built for the LTI 1.3 flows of Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard, and D2L Brightspace — and verified against yours as part of any pilot.
Data, today and before any pilot
Today, this website collects one email address if you volunteer it, and nothing else — the full three-paragraph story is in our privacy policy.
Before any campus pilot begins, we will provide, in writing:
- FERPA documentation for the product,
- a data-processing agreement, including retention and deletion schedules,
- an accessibility conformance report (VPAT) for Section 508 procurement — our public commitment is WCAG 2.1 AA,
- and a technical integration guide for your LMS administrators.
Standing commitments that won't change between now and then: no advertising, no sale of data, no public feeds of student activity. Your institution controls the content, the roster, and the data.
The question you're actually asking
Yes — it swipes like the app your device policy blocks. The resemblance is the point, and it ends at the gesture. There is no ad economy underneath, no public audience, no engagement brokerage: lessons come from instructors, the roster comes from your LMS, and the quiz inside the swipe is retrieval practice. EdTok launches in the browser through your LMS — it works within the device policies you already have.
